The Waterloo University School of Pharmacy

The Waterloo University School of Pharmacy is a 120,000-square-foot eight storey tower with a four storey wing located in downtown Kitchener, Ontario.

Contractor: Ball Construction
Architect: Hariri Pontarini Architects in a joint venture with Robbie/Young + Wright Architects.

The Building utilizes Fulton’s Fulwall IV system in a four sided SSG application, which includes Fulton’s S2020 series zero-sightline vents.  There are many different types of glazing used throughout the job.  The most unique being the laminated glass with an interlayer depicting medicinal plants and also different types of insects.  This type of glass also sits in front of a shadow box giving it a different look.  The University of Waterloo just had the grand opening for this building on April 17, 2009.
